Guinea pigs with mange mites

If your guinea pig has dry flakey skin and is scratching like mad go to the vet and ask for "Ivermec for sheep" They will give you approx 4 ml of this. Use 1ml every fortnight on the back of the neck and this will kill the mange mites.
We tried every wash and spray on th market to relieve our poor boy and finally I found someone on the net who suggested this and it works!!!

Wow i have never herd of that i have however used advantage on my pig and it works well two. glad you finally found something that works.

I have been told advantage is good too but you have to watch the dose. They cant have a full vile otherwise you will poison them. This ivermec is cheaper and it really did work. Poor fred we tried everything on him and that you could possibly buy and nothing else worked. The vet called the manafacturer of ivermec and they gave her the right dose to give fred.
