Its a typical but sad story. My mum has been booted out of her rental after 10 years and has had to move in with me. Bear has been in our family since he was 4 and he is now 10 years young. Being that I already have dogs I cannot take on another so we urgently need to find him a home or to be surrendered.
Bear is a black & white (n a little grey ) staffy x kelpie. He isnt desexed or microchipped.
He is great to keep you company, scary looking enougth to keep stranges at bay but wouldnt hurt a fly. His a dog with a bark but no bite. He is now at the age where he dosnt like puppys or young children poking him (again dosnt bite he will just keep away but u can tell his annoyed), only likes female dogs. Is great for older children, he LOVES to play fetch and could do it all day if you let him, his obedient enougth for me to take him to open areas to play fetch and he comes when his called. *Bear Needs A Home* NSW~NEWCASTLE 484117

He is a sook when it comes to storms and fireworks, he likes to hide inside and he has never cocked his leg or done any toilet business inside, he goes to the door and crys till you let him out.
The 4 years he spent with his original owner consisted of camping and surfing, he loved to goto the beach and sit on the edge of his surf board on the little waves, but unfortunatlly the owner had to travel alot for surf comps and it wasnt fair for him to have to stay home alone all the time, and unfortuntly I cant surf so I couldnt keep his talent alive, but he still does like the water. Overall his a very low maintainence dog, I will be so sad to see him go but he deserves much more then I can offer at the moment.

Get intouch with a few of the rescue services and let them know of course due to him being entire he will need to be desexed and I think will also need microchiping as it is law in NSW to be chipped. Good luck with finding him a home. I wish you all the best but being an older dog he may have to wait. Is there no possibility of him staying with your mum at your house.

GREAT NEWS!!!!
Bear has found a new home with a lovely couple I know as neighbours and they suit eachother perfectly and Im confident he is going to be spoilt for the rest of his happy days.... YAY!!!!! AND I get to visit him as much as I like!
