Chocolate Lab needs a new home

We have friends who have a desexed male 4yr old Choc lab that has been raised with 5 kids and is a wonderful pet. They need to find him a home because her hubby is dying of cancer and they are struggling to take care of him with very limited funds. If you know of anyone or would like to met him email me and I will organise it. He is in Jimboomba qld.

So sad for the dog, more to the point the family loosing their father I hope he finds a wonderful new home soon.

Yes it is not good they don't think he will live to see xmas so they are just taking one step at a time... The lab is beautiful but way to fat......typical lab......It will be nice if we can find him a home befor the horrible happens....Keep thinking caps on please....

wish I could have him... i would take him if we were allowed more than two dogs but council rules are the law... I will spread the word around all my labfriends for you.

Yes we are all hoping he has this xmas with his family before he looses the battle, I think the kids will need that last wonderful memory with there dad.

No not yet still looking. I guess people don't want to take on any new pets right before xmas!

NO not yet I am going to visit him next week with a couple of my greyhounds so I can see how he reacts to other dogs and get a better understanding of why they want to find him a new home and if there are any issues I should know about before I try a little harder in finding him a home. Any thougths would be great. Thankyou

One thing he is not and that is energetic...lol...he is one fat lab...and what I have been told not a very good guard dog..

Hi all Dude the chocolate lab is in desperate need of a new home... Things are not going so good for the owners hubby and need to get him out of there. I can have him here but not to long. Please put your thinking caps on. He is desexed and just had a his yearly vac so already to go.

i wish i could take him but i have two dogs already. if you get stuck let me know i could house him temorary but not permanent

I have no idea could he go on a plane??? that might cost a bit and where would you get a crate from to put him in? What about dog carriers? could there be someone who drives dogs all over the country? If you can work it out I am happy to do my bit...

I think this is the company we used to send two of our pups to Tassie. They are located at Brisbane airport and they provide the crate for the dog! look into it if you are interested!

Hi Bubblesbaby would be great if you could add him to your family I know he will be well loved. I am picking Dude up wed 31st so that he is with me as they enter the new year and only have to worry about there dad. There were alittle sad today when I told them I would be collecting him but they have made peace with it they know this is the best for Dude. Dad not so good but he made xmas so that is wonderful for the whole family. Would have been horrible if he passed away right on xmas it would never have been the same for the kids. I am happy to hang on to Dude and await your reply on weather or not your are able to take him. I will be putting him on a diet though and giving him a good hydrobath....he is alittle stinky...Loves the water...
