blue nose pittbulls?????

i just seen this on gumree newyork (advitiseing there for the forum)
and there is tones of ads for blue nose pittys
ive never herd of a blue nose!!!!

Yeah not much difference however I actually like the dog above I think he is a beautiful looking dog.

what a beautiful loking dog " dont like the croped ears reminds me of dog fighting but a nice dog any way.

i guess its the same as tail docking really is there any difference??other than the fact the tail is attached to the spine?

yeh nar i was happy when they passed the law against tail docking... however some breeds like the old english should have it done for hygiene reasons but not just for looks...

i hope they ban that aswell as it is just cause some peole like the look of it no real reason anymore

i think its cruel,my bf was talking to a guy from sydney last night about a 4wd anyways the guy goes yer i own a pitty so no one will touch my stuff!my bf goes other breeds are good guard dogs too the other guy goes na i like pittys coz they have a bad rep and no one with go near them

it is peole like that who give pittys the bad rep they have .. i have spoken to many peole who have owned pits and when they are raise right they are loyal and loving dogs

Not sure why they do it i have only ever seen it in dogs that are often used for fighting

They crop the ears of pitbulls so the other dogs do not have something to grab as for tail docking its a matter of opinion having owned both docked breeds and undocked breeds its neither here nor there. I think its a matter of opinion personally and having docked tails off rotties when my sister had them it did them no harm what so ever. On the other hand dew claws well they really hurt the poor buggers.

yep ears should be left as they are unless ther is a medical reason behind it (unlikely)

I wish Mingo had not had her tail docked, I could see her with a long flowing tail, I could do her up as a little pink pony...
There are whispers here about ear cropping and tail docking, it will be a long time coming tho...for any laws to change I'm afraid..

It would be good if ear cropping was stopped that is the one thing I do not like its cruel. As for tails each to their own. But lots of dogs in other countries their ears are cropped with just scissors. What pain the dog must go through.

Disreputable breeders here also do hack jobs on poor, little puppies. Makes me sad..
My next dog will be a standard poo with a Looong tail.

I have a thing for standard poodles as well... your right we dont need a hack job on dogs ears, tails or anything else for that matter.

That is a dreadful looking example of teh breed.In fact I would not like to call it an example of the breed full stop.The dog pictured is about as far from the standard as you can get......

Blue nose . No such thing. It is merely slate pigmentation . The backyarders are obviously making a mint off them though as the general public know no better.

Yeah don't know why they would be called "Blue Nose". Looks to be like a Blue Stafford Bull Terrier just will chopped ears. It pisses me off when people sell BSBT and state they are RARE! They are not... they are simply a different colour, that is all and they charge an arm and a leg for them and stupid people pay the price.

I love Stafford's and was looking at getting one a while back and I read that the "blue" gene is a defect!! How people can justify charging that amount is beyond me, but like the saying goes if people will buy people will sell. (I just made that saying up, but sounds good anyway)

Like blue and liver shepherds there is always someone eager to make a buck off defective colours. Thats the way it is and people are gulliable I would never have known any difference myself but I dont know alot about pitbulls and the breed standard. 

Oh yes , the Staffords that are Blue!! And wern't they all the rage there for a bit....*sigh*
Blue isn't a default , but lack of pigmentation in nose and eye rim is considered a fault , the breed standard calls for nose to be black .The problem with breeding for colour is that people often dont breed for the dog wearing the colour . There are alot of Blue Staffords out there , but there are extremely few 'good' ones.

The dog shown in the pic in this thread looks to be of the American fad , overdone and just plain wrong really. An APBT should look powerful,agile,display great strength for its size ,which isn't huge by the way.They're only a small to medium dog .

I'm not sure how to post pics here or I would put up some of a well bred APBT

Yeah that is true ChoppaChop, (about the black nose). I read somewhere that you can not show blue staffords because by the Standards they only allow black and sight variations of brindle. Blue is out of the picture if you want to show them.
