Dog 'shoots' man in New Zealand




A 40-year-old man is recovering in hospital after being shot in the buttocks by his own dog.

The victim was getting into the rear seat of a four-wheel drive vehicle when the animal jumped in beside him.
The dog then stood on the trigger of a .22 bolt-action rifle, which discharged a bullet that passed through the seat and lodged in the man's left buttock.
A rescue helicopter was quickly summoned to airlift the man to Whangarei Hospital.
Surgeons later removed the bullet.

The Daily Telegraph reports that the man was with a group of four people who had slaughtered a pig at Te Kopuru, 90 miles north-west of Auckland on New Zealand's North Island. The group later told police that they thought the gun had been empty.
The victim has not been named, neither has the breed of dog.

All I can say is ouch and that is so funny.
