No flights over UK
I expect that you have all been aware of the volcano eruption in Iceland it has caused havoc here due to no planes being able to take of due to particles of ash getting into the engines ...It is strange not seeing the lines of the planes in the sky the only planes we have seen are the small ones from the local small airfield..
The new school term starts soon and a lot of teachers are unable to get back from ther holidays ..
We are having lots of trouble with a very fine dust covering the cars we are sure it must have been carried by the wind
Here's an article from the BBC

Re: No flights over UK
My uncle is in wales and due to fly out to Ireland on thursday he said on facebook he might have to catch the ferry instead. All flights from Australia to Europe will not resume until Thursday they said it really had effected the whole world. They are doing test flights at the moment but we will have to wait and see.

Re: No flights over UK
I think so he was in Liverpool yesterday doing the Beatles tour and loved it his dream. He is off to Dublin to do the touristy things and to also catch up with some community radio friends and to Joan Armatrading live. He is having a ball.

He was really emotional on the beatles tour they got to go to the cavern for drinks, seen john lennons house, all the sights of the beatles. He said his dream had come true. I am so pleased for him. Abbey road now Liverpool he is loving it. The driver played the beatles the whole time but he said Penny Lane got him when that came on etc. He is loving this trip and I am so pleased.

Yep me to my sister says I would talk to a fly crawling up a wall... she is probably right in some respects but ah well. My uncle will have new found friends all over the UK he will bring home new contacts email addresses etc. He is that sort of person. He is in Dublin now tonight he is seeing Joan Armatrading he has been hanging out for this forever. I am hoping that Van Morrison might be playing somewhere in Ireland and he can see him as well. He is having a blast and another three weeks to go. Then my mum comes home.... she is looking after his house... YIPPEEE I miss my mum.
