what will keep a wound dry???
Anyone got a solution to keep a wound dry on Goldies neck??? Asha is very rough with her and she now has quite a few sores on her neck. I have been bathing them with antiseptic solution but angel inssts on licking it so much that it is always wet and it wont get better that way. Now I know you all are going to say keep angel away from her bt she pines for her if they are separated. and they sleep together all the time. Angel loves her baby so much she is forever cleaning her and she is not happy about goldies neck. I keep them inside away from asha but everytme goldie gets up angel runs over to her to clean her again.w hat type of powder do you think I can use that might dry it up?? Asha goes home this weekend I think but until then I really dont know what to do for my little baby.

Hmm could you try some Bitter Yuck? But I don't know if that would sting her sores..but it might keep Angel away ??

A waterproof dressing of some sort or even a bandage that is a hard one...

hmm keeping a wound dry,
I would not worry to much unless it looks infected, when ours get wonds form rought play they lick it to clean it so it is probably doing ehr no realy harm, Just look for infection.

Oh yummmmmmm. Dogs can do some gross things!
Hope it all heals up soon. Have you tried putting liquird areogaurd in your hands and smothing it around the spot. I know my dogs wont lick that and also the flies wont annoy her. I am areogaurding my dogs every day at the moment flies are terrible.

Re: what will keep a wound dry???
Goldies nck healed while I was away. because they couldnt come inside while I was gone I think angel left it alone and just slept instead of annoying goldoe. I combed out all the crusty scabs today and no raw patches anymore
