Re: Hallo from Denmark
Wow they are huge. They have a beautiful kind face. I have not had anything to do with this breed but they look very kind despite there size. Your 4 legged family is wonderful.

Re: Hallo from Denmark
they are an awesome breed of dog, often misunderstood for another breed of dog because of the similarity with names, they absolutely love being around people, cant do enough for their owners, thanks Grath's for throwing up your dogs, and i wait with anticipation of your puppies, will be rippers, cheers pete

Re: Hallo from Denmark
thats cool Admin, i didnt think i needed to say it but yeah, the moment u say American Bulldog, people look at you as though u r talking about American Pitbulls.
the amount of people that actually come up and talk to u about the dogs when they see them is unreal, the size frightens some people, but the nature of them soon wins them over. cheers

Re: Hallo from Denmark
I would also like to say thanks for the welcome.... Yes I´m also a part of American Bulldogs of Grath... Im the husband
We to here in Denmark experience the "normal" people´s saying when they se us out in the streets with our dogs.... it usualy comes out of there mouth "Isen´t that a fighting dog?" i get so angry and at the same time frustrated, because they only say that due to the lack of knowledge to our breed.
And then there is the other reaction, which I like the most... Wow a American Bulldog they are just so adorable/gorgeous... thats the reaction I meet most of the time.... luckily.
But that also tells me, that we as owner of this kind of dog has to be upfront and train them, so they will be well socialised, so they will be able to ajust to any inverement that we put them in to, whichever it is in the middel of a fighting crowd ore in the nerest childen day care center, the dog has to react the right way at both places.
Because here in Denmark the first thing that would happend is the headline in the newspaper "Killerdog done it again" and that is the worst thing that can happend for us and the American Bulldog.
Therefor we as owner has a great responsibility to make sure that this newer happends. And for us as breeder it is most urgent that we choose our puppiebyers whit great care and not just sell to anybody just for the money.
I hope this gave you a little tast of my thoughts, and what we as owners of American Bulldogs are up against in my opinion.

Re: Hallo from Denmark
Wow you guys have to educate people on your dogs as much as we have to do on our beauiful Greyhounds. Well done and keep up the good work as much as it is frustating you will win in the end with your dogs being so well adjusted and loving..

Re: Hallo from Denmark
Nice to hear you are so responsible with your breed. Personally, I don't see the ones paised poorly. I used to when I groomed at a kennell, It was also the Dog Puund for a big city where pit bulls had a row of kennells and it was heartbreaking that some, you couldn't even get near..
I groom from my house shop now, and I get all the sweet ones, that is how they were raised and I am not one bit scared of them, they live with children and are soooo affectionate. with me, Pits have sush a bad rap, ewven the ones who RESEMBLE pits some groomers won't even take them..well, more for me!
