Doggy Bickies
My boy loved these!!!
1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
2 Tbsp. baking powder
1 cup assorted vegetables diced
1 cup bacon, cooked and diced
1/4 cup shredded cheese
2 Tbsp. bacon grease
1/2 - 1 cup chicken stock
Preheat oven to 180 C & lightly spray a cooking tray
Combine flours and baking powder in a bowl and set aside.
Mix together all other ingredients then add to flour mix.
Add small amounts of stock until it resembles noodle dough
Turn out onto a lightly floured surface and roll out to 1/2 inch thick
Cut out bickies either with a knife or cookie cutter & place on tray
Bake for 20 mins, cool sloghtly then place on wire rack to cool completely.
Then Bon Appetite!

Re: dog treat recipies
Admin dont blame you for not using your oven. Target_love everything takes time I have to add up the cost to see if it's more expensive to make the treats or just buy them. We will wait and see.

Re: dog treat recipies
Got these recipes from another site and was given permission to share with you all
Chesse and Garlic biscuits
250g flour (use any flour or a mix of flours)
2 eggs
50ml water
150g Cheddar Cheese
cloves garlic ( or use garlic powder or granules)
80g fat (try beef fat)
Using a food processor mix garlic and cheese
Then add flour and fat
With the machine running add eggs and enough water to from a ball of dough
Knead lightly by hand and roll out on a floured surface to about 3/8-inch thickness
Cut out with the cutter of your choice and place on a non-stick baking sheet
Bake at 200 for 15mins. Then turn over and cook for a further 10/15 mins
Different flours absorb amazingly different quantities of liquid. If it is dry add more liquid if wet add more flour - dogs really aren't fussy! The quickest way to make these biscuits is with a food processor but you can do it by hand if you prefer
Turkey Treats
1 pound of minces Turkey
1/2 to 3/4 cup of breadcrumbs
2 tbl parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon garlic powder
Mix all together and shape like a cigar sized shapes
Bake on a baking sheet (grease baking tray well) at 350 degrees for 15 - 20 mins
Slice when cooled - they freeze well after they are cooled and sliced
Canine Carrot Cookies
2 cups carrots - boiled and pureed
2 eggs
2 tablespoons minced garlic
2 cups brown rice flour
1 cup of rolled oats
1/4 cup wheat germ or rice or rye flour
combine carrots, eggs, and garlic together - mix until smooth
add dry ingredients - roll out on heavily floured surface and cut into bars or desired shapes
bake at 300 degrees for 45 mins or to desired crunchiness
Honey and Peanut butter cookies
8oz plain flour
3 tbspns of oil
3 tbspns honey
1 heaped tbspn of peanut butter
6 tbspns of water
Place all ingredients in a bowl and mix well
roll out into a sausage and slice - place on a baking tray and pop into the oven
centres will continue to harden as they cool
- gas mark 4 - 5 for 25 mins
Microwave or Oven Liver and Cake
1lb any Liver
1lb Granary flour
3 eggs
2 clove of garlic or 2 teaspoons powdered garlic
1 teaspoon of cooking oil
a splash of milk
Liquidise the liver, eggs, milk and garlic with a little oil in a blender - add the flour and mix
put into a microwave dish (grease dish before putting in) and cook on full power for about 10 mins
Allow to cool. Cut the cake into small cubes - Put into plastic bags - enough in each bag for 1 - 2 days - and freeze
Take a bag out of freezer and defrost for use as required
Break each cube into several rewards
And then let your dogs enjoy - Have given Herbie the peanut and honey treats and he's really liked them as yet not tried others but I am intending to try all of them
