fleas causing infected tail?
when chloe was pregnant with the pups she had a bad flea problem which caused all her hair to fall off her tail and for scabs to form!
now again its come back! even tho i spent a fortune on flea control to prevent her getting any!
could she be allergic to fleas? whats the easiest way to treat the scabs?

She will need a vet visit for this one some tablets and possibly a cortisone injection. Try some Malaseb shampoo to stop the itching but I really do think you will need a vet visit. It is the flea's salvia that causes the reaction.

The vet may also do a skin scraping to see if it is anything else.

Jules it could be mange mites too they cause this. you might have to change her flea control to something that will kill these.
