Re: why are they dying?
make sure you have water conditioner in the water ... chlorine kills fish... also they dont need feeding every day or if you do only a small pinch of food every 24 hou as it polutes the water

Re: why are they dying?
OK,
i had this issue a while back and this is what is did.
A- i kept the tank at a stedy temp with a water heater- Look up the sort if fish you have to find the correct temp.
B- as has been said be sure you ahve the conditioner in the water
C- make sure your filter is working adn cleaned out proberly once a month.
D- often a WHOLE water change can effect the fish so it is advised to do it 1/3 ever 2-4 weeks(depending on the the tank size) and a full clean every 2-3 months. this keeps the good bactria in the tanks..
E- make sure you regually cheack the PH levles in the tank, you can get a kit at the petstore for relativley cheap..
Hope this helps you out a little

Re: why are they dying?
everytime you change the water you need to add the conditioner, It is done my so many mls per Ltr..
check the PH often times this is what causes the issue along with the conditioner...
LOL Liz when you have a step dad like i do and as many pets as i have you learn FAST..
We have had many different types of fish and this happened to us. it ended up being the PH and we simply had to add soemthing to the water..
