They actually cope very well, Jess form the ACS..Australian cavy sanctuary sends them interstate alot.. She will send them anywhere in oz aslong as you can prove that the home you are giving them is worth the effort and sometime you have to wait as she sends them in Lots........

I had no Idea there was a rescue for them either LOL was bored about 2 years back and came across them on petlink LOL

Now i am down at Jess's Brissy rescue almost every week lol for food, and seeing the adoptables LOL..
What they do for the little tikes amazes me after finding the rescue "A guinea pig was nolonger a guinea pig" to me..

the ACS has hundreds of guinea pig for rescure each year.. with shelters in both brissy and NSW... I am shocked that somebody can hurt such and tiny creature

HAHA i cannot use PB.. i use "Image shack" try it out MUCH eaiser lol... selct your pics choose the size i go for email sizing then upload click th pics and them copy and paste inbedale coade for forums LOL easy as pie... Not that i can cook pie lol

Yeh i think i did but you didnt want them seperated...Glad they got a good home

yeh i rember you know yes i wanted them to go as a trio to a breeder as lilac ar far and between due to getting there colouring of the right shade and there type so was quite happy they went to a breeder but couldnt belve the demand for the colour of people wanting pets
i have 3 lovely p.e whites more my pets but i do show them
i have 1 satin self sow ,1 satin carrier crested sow she is pregant and 1 satin crested boar they come from qld

ooo they are very pretty pigs... LOVE the satin my new adoptee is a satin such lovely coats...

HAHA yeh i have been looking for ages.. with such a demade i would have thought there would be more must be hard to breed....

did you find a lilac
it would of cost you so much to get one transported
are u a member of the cavy forume where you will meet alot of breeders you maybe able to get a breeder from you area thats going to the national that could keep a eye out

HAHA yep i was sooo happy a beautiful girl came into the ACS rescue for adoption with her satin friend..

I have pics in the chornicles..
Well money was no option lol we dont want to breed just pets we considered one in tazzie so yeh we were even happier when we were able to rescue one.. Very Happy

love your piggies red eyes. we have a pretty girl with red eyes but has never thrown a red eye baby

she has had two litters now so no more for her as she is now 3 1/2 but all her babies went to good homes. she had 5 in each litter so a good mum

OMG lol Ive jus googled lilac guinea pigs and came across this photo of a lilac dutch www.piggyperfect.co.uk/images/Fudge.jpg I have just found out Polly is a lilac dutch lol.... I never knew lol
Her mum was a black and white dutch and er dad was an albino OMG fancy that lol

daddy was a PEW pink eyed white lol..... they dont have albino cavies.... Just cause you needed to know that LOL.......

lol oh well yes he was white with red eyes lol... sorry I am not up with the cavies breeds... I didnt know they were called cavies until about a few months ago you learn something new every day I just look them up on the internet and guess....
Hey no wonder when polly had her last litter the first baby to go was a yellow (lilac) absynian cross.the daddy was an abby and the baby looked like an abby but was lilac (yellow) A breeder bought him and he was so excited He said he had never seen an abby that colour before.... should have sold him for more than $5 hey lol

the above photo is actually a saffron wich also have red eyes a lilac is a meduim grey shade a saffron is ona shade of yellow type colour quite pretty she looks to be ethier a dutch in saffron or a harlquine very pretty indeed

lilac abby are very rare in my time of breeding and showing i have never seen any eccept for the one on here was shocked when i saw it lol

oh ok lol all I know is that our one is a very loved guinea pig what ever she may be.. in that last litter she had a yellow abby and a lite shade of grey... I will look up my photos later and see if I can find a photo of the last litter. I cant remember if I took any pics or not. but the same breeder bogt three of my baby boys all with abby coats lots of swirls and one yellow one light grey and one yellow grey and white... he was very excited when he saw them so xcited that he wanted the dad as well but the girls loved him too much so we kept him.
