Spectacular Petacular

Hi Everyone,

Just letting you know that Friends of the Hound Greyhound Rescue have again been invited to have a stall at this years Spectacular Petacular at the RNA Shows grounds in Brisbane on the 14th & 51th March.

If you are able to make it please pop by and say HI it is a long weekend for our promo team and we would love some friendly faces to call in.

Hoping to see you there....Now just got to think of a theme and have it done in 6 weeks

Sounds like fun... bit too far for me to head up there however the animal expo is on here in victoria in february.  Good luck this is a great opportunity for educating the public on just how wonderful greyhounds are.

Thanks guys. It is all about educating the public at how wonderful these dogs are as pets. A lot don't realise how soft and sooky they are and are quite surprised when they met them and the kids love them so we can only hope when they are ready to have a pet they think of a greyhound as one... Cant wait we met lots of interesting people and some very strange ones but it makes it all part of the promo.

Yes I guess you would meet some weird ones... but as you said it is worth it. We are heading off to the melbourne pet and animal expo when its on. That is next month. 

hey dont forget to tell all the visitors aout this forum... maybe make a small poster???/

i will be going to the petacular i love it .

Great will love to see you, Just look for the fat person with a green shirt on with a very noisey yacket? (this will be his frist promo and he will love all the people and there dogs so he is going to let everyone know) in the dog section. I beleive that when you stand in the dog building go left and we are in the middle ile.

Hi Beth...Yes have thought of a theme but sorry cant tell you as it is a big secret...lollolololo.....not really but we do have other greyhound adoption groups there so don't want them pinching our ideas....two close now to think of a new one never alone organise it... Hoping it looks as good once up as it dose in my head Not long now....Will be great to met some of you there please pop in and have a cuddle.

No one will have any idea what you are talking about as Yacket is not his real name.... ....but you might be able to hear him...lol You will not be able to miss us really we have green shirts and on our backs it will have a greyhound with "Dont bet on them greyhounds make great pets" and we are called "Friends of the Hound" Looking forward to meeting you Beth and others.

Yes we have been there the last 2 times they have had it there and yes that is probably us as we have a formal shirt (ie with collar) and our normal promo shirts which are purple (just a tee shirt)(but we can't wear purple there as that is the spectular's colour and to confusing)I think the other greyhounds groups are black and one is pink? Plus you wont misss my hubby he is 6 foot 7 wearing a green shirt and demin knee lenght shorts and more than likley he will have his princess with him (our beautiful blue fawn brindle grey) Now just got to finish off the painting and we are nearly already to go.....
